Starbucks opened its doors on 210 sqm in an old and yet new ambience on 28 October 2017. Customers can enjoy their snacks and coffee specialties in a coffee house flair. It was a great logistical and planning result. HEIKAUS acted as the general contractor in this demanding and comprehensive tenant development project. The team coordinated both the entire disassembly and renovation work and the entire interior development of the tenant object at the Bahnhofsplatz.
All required work for tenant development was taken care of by HEIKAUS AG. Both project development and construction management on site – from a single source – according to the Starbucks design specifications.

In spite of the elaborate work, the restaurant remained closed completely for only four days. A lot of conversion work took place on the first floor within only a single week. After the necessary disassembly of old furnishing elements and their disposal, HEIKAUS coordinated various interior design sections. The painting team covered about 210 sqm of ceiling area, including about 130 sqm of delicate old stucco ceiling and wall elements. Nearly 400 sqm of wall space were re-designed in various matte colours and more than 100 sqm existing profiled wood panelling were professionally reworked. The renovation services also comprised processing of the existing oak parquet on the upper floor and the wonderful old oak staircase leading upstairs from the ground floor.
Apart from this, a lot of tiling, ventilation and electrical work arose. The carpentry work was particularly comprehensive on the two floors. Oak-veneered coverings were professionally reworked and newly stained. New, large menu boards were installed above the back bar, tables and shelves restored and benches were padded with leather and placed anew.

A comprehensive tenant development project with services going far beyond interior development; In the scope of the general contractor's services, HEIKAUS also coordinated the new production of the outdoor advertising system, including the two brand light scripts and updates to five other lit advertisements in the outdoor area. After a conversion time of only one week, the Starbucks restaurant at the Bahnhofsplatz was able to welcome its guests in a radiant new ambience with the flair of an old and yet modern coffee house.
